Cell Tower Equipment Rooms
IKBI, Inc. is working with MBCI in their plan to provide fixed wireless service to the rural areas in Conehatta and Bogue Chitto communities. This federally funded project is geared toward providing enhanced connectivity, specially to all students who are involved in distance and/or virtual learning.
The storage shelters to house the fixed wireless broadband equipment arrived in November 2020. The equipment room was placed on site under the Conehatta water tower located next to Conehatta Elementary School. The next step is to get the equipment installed, and cables and wiring hooked up. The towers are projected to be functioning before January 2021, with home hookups sometime after that.
