Remote Inspection Facility - Ft. Belvoir

IKBI, Inc. was the Prime Contractor for construction of the 8,716 sf Remote Inspection Facility (RIF), to LEED Gold standards, located on an unimproved 6.5-acre site. The precast block building includes an open-air drive-through for truck inspections; a handling area for packages and mail to be received and sorted for distribution; and office areas with support space to accommodate staff and security officers. The sitework included selective demolitions, installation of site utilities (electric, water, sewer and communication infrastructure), sidewalks, paved parking, street and site lighting.

B.B. King Museum

This two-phase project involved selective demolition to preserve a historic cotton ginnery which was renovated to serve as the entrance for the 18,000 SF museum and 20,000 SF exhibition and interpretive center.  IKBI self-performed 50% of the work.
